I looked at the corporate world and Rachel, I know you had a bit of a challenging experience in the corporate world. You had your payscale cut down dramatically due to no fault of your own, in fact, it was due to your success. You were making too much money!
I got started in this industry as a distributor just like anybody else. I looked at this and I thought this is too good to be missed. Other people can look at it and say this is too good to be true. But I represented a product that I wanted to own.
We all have choices, right? We can go where we want to go, we can do what we want to do, we can participate in what we want to participate in. I bought the product and got value from the product.
Rachel, is there a fundamental difference between whether or not this is the right type of business for you?
Rachel Krider
That’s an interesting question.
I made a decision after that experience where my salary was halved, I never wanted to work for a boss again. I had a bit of something to prove where I could succeed without a boss and I knew that I wanted to go into business for myself. My challenge was I didn’t know the first thing about business. I didn’t really have a whole lot of money because I just lost my job, I just purchased a new house that I haven’t moved into yet, but the company dropped that bombshell. I was looking for an alternative and I had an open mind and a determination to succeed.
It took me awhile to create success because I failed at the first business. I spent 5 years there attempting to build, but I made all the wrong moves and all the wrong decisions along the way, however, I met a guy in that business who was making $100,000 a month. I never met anyone who was earning at that level. I’m a bit of a dreamer, so this little seed was planted that maybe I could live that extraordinary life as a high school dropout without skills or qualifications.
My dream never came to fruition in that first business. When I got started in your company, seven months in I started making $100,000 a month, and that’s when my dream came to fruition.
To answer your question, I think I’m a bit of a dreamer and just someone who’s wanting to live outside the norm.

So somebody who thinks in terms of possibilities instead of problems.
Rachel Krider
Yeah, and staying open.
Shane Krider
I just thought why not, somebody’s making that money, why couldn’t it be me?
Rachel Krider
Jim Rohn, an American business philosopher and the granddaddy of personal development, is a huge inspiration to me. He has since passed away, but I learned a lot through his teachings. We know it’s possible to design and live an extraordinary life because I’ve seen other people do it.
Shane Krider
And that’s what you saw in Lee Anne’s eyes the first time you met her.
Rachel Krider
Yeah, it is possible to design and live an extraordinary life. I’m not saying it’s guaranteed for everybody, but it’s possible.
